Set up Plot: Crippled from a devastating battle for power, Kiko, once a 9 tailed kitsune narrowly escapes with only 1 tail left. Possessing an unborn child in hopes of laying low, Kiko is reborn to a human mother and grows up in a small town alongside Hikari, the daughter of a farmer in town. Despite her human rebirth Kiko still retains her flair for the lavish lifestyle she's been so accustomed to, and consequently rejects all human customs. Spending more time with Hikari and her father than her own family, Kiko is accepted as one of their own despite her strange demeanor. Kiko develops a soft spot for Hikari's family, much to her dismay. When a yokai curses Hikari's father with a grave illness, Kiko and Hikari set out to figure out why so many dangerous yokai have been appearing as of late. All the while Kiko must conceal her true identity as a trickster yokai herself. Unable to use the powers she once had or the few she has remaining, she must learn to rely on her wit and Hikari.
